Who has/had what strollers? what ones would you recommend? why? this is also to help the new moms. i'm thinking we should do a poll to suggest which "travel system" stroller is best, for when the babies are infants. then choose whether you did/do/would have preferred two umbrella strollers or one double umbrella stroller...thanks again!
please post why you like the one you did, and comparisons between the ones you have owned if there has been more than one.

I have had the Graco Duo Glider, Graco Duo Rider and the Combi Twin Savvy. I prefer the Combi over the others. The Duo Glider was nice because I could manuever in tighter spots but the one I had a one recline position in the back seat. It was either all the way up or all the way down. My girls had trouble sitting in it. The Duo Rider was the same way. I love how the Combi has many reclining positions. And it is very stylish to boot. We get lots of compliments on it.

We have the Gracp Duo Glider. Great for small spaces. Not too heavy. Great basket underneath that holds alot of stuff.

I have the valco twin runabout. It is great for a toddler and twin infants. The down side is it is pricey

I had a double snap n' go for when they were in carseats. I loved it. Now we use a double Mt. Buggy. It is a cross b/t a jogger and an umbrella stroller. I love it! :yep The MB is pretty big and takes up a lot of trunk space. It is also heavy. On the positive side-it fits through doorways and can off road.

i have the duo-glider too, and i love it for now. i never sat the girls in it without carseats till they could be propped anyway, so i didn't have the problem with the recline position. it's GREAT for snapping the carseats in and the girls love to go in it without them too.

I have the Duo-Glider, and I LOVE it! I still use it sometimes and my girls are 3 1/2. The back seat has 3 or 4 reclining positions, and the front seat has 2. The front seat doesn't recline all the way, but that was never a problem if I just put a blanket on the side of who's ever head. I have the one that has a snack tray and cup holder on both seats. DO NOT get a stroller without this feature! The basket is huge, and it's amazing how much crap you can fit in it. It maneuvers wonderful, and isn't too heavy. I think they have made them even lighter since I got mine 4 years ago. It also breaks down nicely to fit in the trunk of a compact car. I have to take the front tray and hood off, but I'm so used to it now, it's not a problem. I used to lift it in and out of my trunk multiple times a day. I can fit it down fairly skinny isles too.

I had a duo-glider but whoever was sitting in the back would kick the person up front and that caused problems for me. Now I have the Combi and LOVE it most of the time. It folds down easy and compact, is light weight, reclines, and has 3 cup/snack holders. My biggest problem is the girls are starting to pull themselves forward with the tray and it never fails one of them will stick their foot on the middle wheel and lock it where it will not turn. But after I run into a few doors then I figure out the problem :)

Ring, how does yours have so many recline positions in back? mine's just either up or flat down...

I have the Peg Perego Duette, and wouldn't get anything else! I love it.. it's so lightweight, i can open & close it with one hand... I love how the infant seats can snap in facing me, or forward, or each other... Same with the stroller seats! The girls love to sit facing each other to play while we're out... It's a little bit pricey, but so worth it!

If you can afford two I would recommend the duoglider - great w/ the carriers the first six months - and a combi twin savvy ex... they have both been lifesavers. the combi is so easy to fold up and go - it's very light. we keep the duoglider at home set up in the garage for going outside and for walks at home and keep the combi in the back of my truck.

We used the Graco DuoGlider for the first few months because it was easier with the car seats. We recently bought the Combi Twin Savvy EX and I love it. The girls love to be able to see what is going on around them and not be confined to the car seats. In hindsight I would have gotten the double snap and go and the Combi rather than the DuoGlider.

I have the Duo Glider right now. I like it. Handles like a "caddy" haha! Has a lot of space underneath. Two cup holder. I like it.
Only thing is that the front seat is a lot smaller than the back. and the front doesn't recline enough and the back reclines too much.

That's why i like the peg! the seats are both the same size... big... and they both recline all the way.. they also come with a cover to keep their bottom half warm! it snaps on to the seat at the waist.. i love it..
The double snap n go is the greatest invention EVER. I had a DuoGlider briefly and didn't care for it. Then had an Eddie Bauer tandem with reversible front seat. Loved it but it was sooooo heavy. Then we switched to a double umbrella Jeep. Love it. We still use it all the time.

I have the double snap and go which I absolutely love. But I also have the twin techno Maclaren which is also a great stroller it has 5 sitting positions and fits through most doors I love it. I was suprised that no one else mentioned the twin techno I thought it was a popular stroller.

I hated my Graco. Of course, my twins are almost 9 years old and my thoughts really don't count because it was so long ago that I needed a stroller.

The lighter weight and easier to lug around is best for the infants. I wouldn't invest a bunch of money in a great stroller when they're young. We had the duoglider but I think a simple travel system would have been better. I love our new one, an urban mountain buggy. It's not cheap but I love it.

I am a stroller-a holic! :teehee
We've got:
Graco Duo Glider - the first stroller we bought, with the carseats. LOVE it! Such a great all-around stroller!
Valco Twin Runabout - we bought this second, because my DS was still young enough for a stroller. It is really expensive, and he won't sit in it now, neither will the twins. They don't like it cause they sit too far back in it, and Jonah is just too big. It was an AWESOME stroller when they were very little though! Easy to maneuver, and great if you have a toddler and infant twins!
Peg Perego Twin Aria - This is our most recent purchase... I wanted something light for the twins. It's a nice stroller, but doesn't maneuver great for the money, IMO. It's light, and has snack trays, so that's good.
My absolute fav is the DuoGlider, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a double! It has been our best stroller so far, and we still use it often! :thumbsup

we used our duoglider ALL THE TIME when the girls were not sitting up on their own. it was so convenient with the carseats. but once they started sitting up on their own (well, ok, a month after they did :lol), we bought the jeep twin stroller. i wanted something lighter and that didn't take up so much trunk space now that i wasn't keeping them in their carseats in the stroller anymore. plus, this way they can both see what is going on. i always felt bad for whoever got stuck in back of the duoglider.
i do have to say though that now that we have a tandem stroller, our shopping trips take longer. with the duoglider apparently it was more difficult to realize there were two :shrug

My first double stroller was the Safety 1st tandem stroller, I had the infant car seats that snapped in. The stroller was awful and fell apart. The 5pt safety harness failed, and the stroller should absolutely be recalled. I took it back to Walmart for a full refund of $209..they refunded me with a gift card because the stroller was a gift and I didnt have the receipt. The woman screwed up and put my gift card at something like $280 or something.
So I sold the gift card to my MIL for cash, went to Toys R Us and bought a Graco DuoGlider (its black and tan/beige..super nice) I absolutely love it. I bought it in Nov '06 and its still awesome. Light weight, big basket, looks good, both seats recline, easy fold up etc
So the Graco DuoGlider is my suggestion :D

I have the Chicco Twin Velocita. It's too wide but my boys sit in it and don't cry so I'm not complaining too much. :snicker It has plenty of recline positions, huge storage area underneath and steers well. Downsides are of course the size itself, and no cupholders for me or them. :sadcheer

I had the Graco Duo Glide and it was great while the girls were small. Early this year I bought the COmbii and LOVE IT. the Duo Glidee got really heavy with the girls in it once they hit 1 and 1/2. The Combii is great, light weight and easy to manuver.
The DuoGlide was great when they where small as I just snapped their car seats in there and was ready to go. The Combi takes up less trunk space and to me is easier to manuver. But I would not of made it through the first year without the DuoGlide.
Where are all of the other stollers :shrug I voted for the double umbrella stroller, but 2 hooked with the connectors can also be great. I think parents should either get the duoglider or snap-n-go for when the kiddos are in the infant carriers, but I hated the duoglider after they were out of the carriers and couldn't bring myself to actually check yes for it. My kids prefer Side By Side strollers, so my jogger gets the most use by far!

now that my girls are bigger, i use the jeep side by side. i wish it had baskets underneath and cupholders like the more expensive ones, but it was only 80 bucks so i can't complain...i didn't have $300+ to spend on a new stroller. the duo-glider was a lifesaver though when they couldn't sit up yet and i could just snap their infant seats in and go

I posted on this a while back... but wanted to update with our newest find! :teehee
This is the BEST stroller that we've found so far! The kids love it, and so do both DH and I. Big basket, both seats are reversible, fits through all doorways, easy to steer and maneuver... LOVE it! :yep

Has any heard of the Firstwheels City Twin?? Its a side by side that competes with Bugaboo in Europe. Its not in the US yet. I have the City Elite, the single, and I've used the City Twin. Its amazing...just like if Bugaboo made Twin.
The City Twin super easy to push, they fit through door, they hold up like crazy and let the babies face any direction. The only complaint is that they can't do a carseat.
I sell these online from my home in Toronto. I'm openning a store with GotTwinz 'cause I think these are so great. I'm an at home mom who just started staying at home after working in Daycare for 10 yrs.
I'll post some pics... I'd be glad to answer any questions.
and I so need a day of....:ladiesnight...my kids are out to get me today
