Do your twins have a special bond? Tell us about it.

I think they have a special bond already at less than 6 months. They look for each other when seperated. If they are both crying and I pick one up, many times the other will stop crying and smile too. The prefer to suck one anothers thumbs.....and mostly they look at each other with the same love and wonder that they do with me.
That is so cute about them sucking each other's thumbs, Judie.
Mine are constantly looking at one another. Tatiana is always giggling when she's looking at Alexander. They will reach for each other when they are lying on the floor. It's really quite cute to watch :pinkheart

I definitely think they have a bond already. When they were first learning to crawl, Tristan used to crawl out of the room and Tyler would follow after him and Tristan would turn around, look for Tyler and they would crack up laughing at each other. They still sleep in the same crib and I find them snuggled up many nights when I go to check on them. :heart

Well mine are just 5 months so not really yet, although they are starting to notice each other more. Alanna makes fun of Devonne when D is crying. Does that count? They do look at each other and smile all the time. Once in a while they'll talk back and forth. And they definately must like how the other one tastes, because they're always trying to grab each other's limbs and shove them in their mouths. D tried to steal a toy from A today for the first time, too. Boy am I in trouble...

They love to give each other kisses. Johnny especially. Wherever one goes, the other is never to far behind. They still mostly babble, and they babble to each other, then crack up laughing. I am like what the heck was the joke. :shrug.

I love catching them snuggling in bed! And its so cute when they crack each other up and just laugh and laugh. They balance each other out personality wise too.
I think the neatest thing though is how Hannah has always "waited" on Aidan. 1.) In the NICU she was ready to come home but he wasn't and the doctor had told us she would most likely come home before him. Then, she had a spell and they ended up coming home together. 2.) Hannah was sitting up and bearing weight by about 6 months, they were 7+ months before Aidan sat up alone or would bear any weight on his legs. Hannah never progressed to crawling until he had caught up with her. 3.) Same thing with walking. She had crawled a bit longer than him but he was the first one to take real steps. She amazes me with her independence and you can tell her little brother is constantly driving her nuts, but she still looks out for him.

They have a very special bond. They share all their food and will wait at meals till the other is seated till they begin eating. If one is sick, the other gets super quiet and is very obliging, it's almost as if they're worrying about the other. At age two, they still cry when the other cries, specially if one is hurt.

We just recently bought a 2nd exersaucer and I have noticed that the girls will play with the same toys at the exact same time and not realize they are doing it. Also they started copying each other today with movements and such it was really amazing to watch.

Yes I think mine have a special bond. I always catch them snuggled next to each other in the crib and thats something that never gets old seeing! :pinkheart Also when I put them in their highchairs for meals, they are always looking at each other and making noises. I get a kick out of it, thinking they're talking to each other saying "Hey what do you think is for lunch today?" haha :lol

My girls like to be together. Ever since they started crawling, they are constantly following each other. Sometimes, they just sit and look at each other and laugh. Other times, they babble to each other and laugh. They seem to know what the other is saying. When Hannah had tubes put in her ears, she was gone for the first couple hours of the day. Brooklyn kept crawling up the hallway looking for her sister. Later that day, after their naps, they were so happy to see each other and broke out into big grins. At 10 months, they already have a special bond. :wub
Definitely! They don't like being away from each other. Chris will even wake Dom up if he gets up first. They hug and kiss each other. Sometimes they knock each other over so they can lay on top of each other and hug. They get a little rough about their loving :lol

Audrey just loves Emily. She loves to smile at her and just stares at her. Emily most of the time could care less. LOL They will roll over to each other and giggle at each other or lay on top of each other. It is very cute. Emily likes to nibble and lick or try to bite Audrey all the time. Audrey just takes it in stride though.

Oh yeah .. they definitely have a bond. They are never far from each other when playing ... if i give one a treat they always hold their hand out for another one for brother.
One morning in particular I woke up and went into their room and Jayden was sitting in his little chair next to Jesse's bed while Jesse was still asleep. He was just sitting there waiting for his brother to wake up. :wub

Awww...what wonderful stories!
Our girls are almost three now, and they have cuddled to each other since they came home from the NICU. They argue over toys of course at times, but their bond is amazing.
It was just wanting to be near each other at first, then progressed to looking at each other and rolling onto each other, but despite all the screaming Annie did in Amanda's ear all her life, they want to go places and be near each other.
When they nurse they like to wrap arms around each other and lean against each other since they are bigger now, they always think of what the other needs, and are just so close! They had a language they used before they could talk that was expressions and body movements, and now they always want to get what they have to give one to sister.
They even talk about when they were in "Mommy's tummy with my sister", which is so sweet! Annie tells me she and Amanda were there together and Amanda wanted to come out to get nanny (to nurse), but the funny thing is we didn't tell them Amanda's water broke first (they wouldn't understand anyway) and she really did want to come out early...interesting! Amanda always agrees with her on that one...I have no idea how they would know that, but they do seem to sit with their heads together exactly as they were inside me a lot. I had my hands on both heads one day and realized it felt exactly like their head bumps on my tummy and how the ultrasound pictures looked. The whole twin bond is amazing!:pinkheart

I definitely feel that my girls have a special bond. They've only been apart a couple of times since they were born. When one is hurt, or not feeling well, the other will go and comfort her by patting/rubbing her back.. I've noticed they love to give each other hugs and kisses randomly throughout the day. When I check on them during nap or at night, one usually has her arm around the other, or her hand touching her sister... They love to share toys, and food... I really think they are as close as sisters can be!

I feel that my girlies have a special bond. They will fight to no end about toys and stuff, but if one of them is hurt or sick the other will be there comforting her right away. They also love to give each other hugs and kisses randomly through out the day, and always make sure to say i love you to each other before bed/naps.

I can tell my two really love each other. I found Alex (the boy) brushing Kenzie's hair the other day. I videoed that as well as the day I caught him helping her get dressed.

when one crys the other will go find out why, and they are big in kissing, they kiss for everything.

Before I had twins, I used to hear people talk about a twin bond and I think i kinda dismissed it. Not any more. If Aisling is upset, there isn't anything Daniel wouldn't do to cheer her up. In fact he's taken to trying to replicate her fall so he can be hurt too.
On the other hand, when they fight its "too the death" there's no quarter given. I asked our Health Nurse about it and she just said to let them at it and they'll solve it themselves.
Works both ways, I guess.
