Do your kids go? My son is going on one this weekend with our church. Last month my 16 yr old nephew went to MEXICO to help build a school! :thud While I admire him for doing that (he used his Christmas money to pay for it) I'm not so sure I'd let my kid to out of the country without me with him :para

I use to go when I was young. I started going to church camp in 5th grade (10 years old) for a week at a time and I went on a mission trip to New York when I was 13. My parents were going to let me go to Guatemala for 2 weeks when I was 14-15 but it interfered with something else I was doing so I didn't go. I'm not sure how I'll feel about my own kids going though. I'm a little over protective.

Sammi goes with the youth group at our church for like a week. She wants to go to one with her gifted program people this summer. It will only be in San Antonio. I think they are going to help take care of the animals at Sea World. I wanna go!!! LOL!

My kids barely get to go to Grandma's to spend the night. They definately aren't going to go to a sleep-away camp!!

Yes, I am over-protective.
