Ok, So this keeps coming across my mind.

We put our twins to bed around 8:30-9pm .

here is what im running into issues with. They will NOT sleep with a door open, they continue to play and tear down gates. So we have to shut there door. They generally fall assleep with music playing in there room to dround out (apartment life) and cars etc. we also have dark window coverings as the sunshine Shoots right in there room at 5:30-6am.

Ok so summer is coming.... we have one A/C given to us by my grandmother. It will probably end up in the L/R Window because Our room is tight, with Isabella's Bedroom furniture there ( dresser/changing table has to go in front of my window.) so i dont want to ruin the Nice set by having an A/C behind it KWIM?

Do I invest in buying an (A/C for the twins room) ? have it on low at all times? or do I buy a really nice window fan? I'm timid with that.. why? because of weirdo's (my paranoya) there's a parking lot right out there window so car noise/people etc may rattle them awake.

I just am not sure what to do, having there door shut, on hot summer nights at bedtime, Wont work with (just a fan or two) but maybe window fans or an ac for there room may work?

HELP!

If it were me I would find a way to get them to sleep with the door open. I wouldn't have a window fan/ac in the window. I am too paranoid someone would break in...but I am weird like that. Can you open their door once they are asleep? You could have a fan blowing the cool air into their room until bed time, close the door until they are asleep and then open it for the night. Is that possible?

I was going to say the same thing...wait until they are asleep and then open their door.

that might work, I'd have to invest in the gates again though. Our room is RIGHT across to theirs. it may be a problem later on when Isabella arrives (crying and all) But to get there room cooled off (after sun goes down) too is what it may take thats all.. Im pretty paranoid when it comes to the window thing too. (There windows are Lower) So yah!
hmmmm Guess time will only tell, Sigh*

I've got plenty of fans, and one AC so Its a matter of Trial and error. I suppose. :) TY!!

I wound up being really really lucky. My kids could sleep through a freight train coming through their room.

Now, getting them to sleep was a whole 'nother thing. Have you looked into those books on tapes (or cd's)? My kids love listening to them while they fall asleep. We bought them for them for xmas or birthdays (since they are expensive).
