How old do you think your children will be before you allow them to date?

My daughter is fixing to turn 13 and I don't feel she will be ready to date until she is 16. Kids can't drive till they are 17 here. They have to have their permits for a yr when they turn 16. My parents made the mistake of letting me "date" a 17yr old when I was 14. No we weren't allowed to go anywhere but he was allowed to come over and hang out. Rule of thumb is wherever there is a 17yr old guy there is sex!! I guess my parents were clueless but I have my beautiful DD because of it.

She'll be 16 before she can go anywhere alone with a boy. She'll be able to have boyfriends to the house a little bit earlier though.

Hmmm...15 or 16, I"d say. I got to go out on my first official date at 15, and I turned out fine :lmao

I said 15, but I think at that age, I'd only allow "group dates" like what I had to do. They won't be going out one on one, but in a group.
:lalala I'm in my happy place & I can't hear you talking about boys who want to impregnate my daughter and trollops that want to corrupt my son. :lalala
