I see you had almost 30 weekers too :luv I was wondering their stats and how long they stayed in the NICU.

Evie was 14 inched and weighed 2 lbs 6 oz. Ella was 16 inches and weighed 3 pounds 3 oz. Ella had a lot of trouble at birth. Craig and I were just remembering that it was a year ago today that the Drs told us that she would not make it through the day and that we should call our family priest if we wanted her baptized. You would never know today!!!

They were each in the NICU for 45 days.

:luv It's a love hate relationship with the NICU memories, isn't it? I remember so many scary moments and wonder how thoses tiny bodies ever made it :( But now I have warm feelings looking back at it. Such little miracles :luv Our boys were 3.4 and 3.5. They spent 32 days in the NICU.

That is soo true! Now that we are in past it, we call it baby boot camp :) Where else does someone else put your baby on a schedule for you, and what new parent has a nurse by her side for several weeks so she can ask every stupid question that a new parent might have. We left there thinking "we are so ready for this parenting thing, we've asked every question imagineable".... then we got in the car and realized we were on our own now:shocked

I was 29w6d. I had been on BR in the hospital for 5 weeks due to incomp cervix. I abrupted and had a stat csection. We were really very lucky, though. No major problems in the NICU. They did have to be re-intubated once when they were 2 weeks old. Come to think of it, that was exactly 5 years ago today :cry They both had a UTI and got very sick from it. Otherwise it was just normal preemie eating and breathing issues. We didn't find out about Josh's CP until he was over a year old. But it all makes sense now.

You guys both have such awesome and inspiring children. There is a love/hate relationship with the NICU but if it wasn't for them, I would not have my precious babies. :pinkheart
