Does anyone attend any local support groups for special needs kids? Our PT just sent us an email about a new support group for Cerebral Palsy. We are going to give it a shot. God knows we will need all the support we can get come June :( They provide childcare and snacks, so we can bring all 3 kids and be able to focus on the meeting. I'm kind of excited!

I have not heard of anything like that around here. I would love it if there was but I will have to ask the therapists that come around if they know of anything. You will have to let us know how the meeting goes.

I did. It went OK. It was at the YMCA in the basketball court. The court was supposed to be empty, and there was supposed to be a few people there to watch all the kids. 5 families show up with about 12 kids total. 4 of the kids have CP.. ONE person shows up to watch all these kids. And then 15 people came in and started playing ball :( All the Dads ended up staying with the kids and the Moms met. It was a good meeting. We are going to try and figure out a better place to meet next month.

We supposedly have a support group in town for autism/sensory problems, but none of our therapist seem to know where it is. :roll
