Today I finally bit the bullet and scheduled the ENTIRE family for dental appointments! I had a bad experience with the last office so I was VERY apprehensive about trying to get the whole family scheduled. Turns out, this new office is used to large families and they are VERY accomodating! They have another family with ten kids that go there so they understand how difficult it is to get appointments scheduled! :woot This will be the twins very first time to go to the dentist :skeert I hope they do well... Payton really doens't like to be touched :para

That is awesome! Our dentist has trouble scheduling the two of mine close together.
If it is Payton's first visit he should be fine. Our dentist only does what the child will allow. If they open their mouth great, if not well they talk about teeth and such. I bet he'll do better than you expect. :)

That is wonderful! I have a hard enough time scheduling an appt just for myself!
I hope everything goes well at the dentist!

That's so great you were able to get the whole family in! We went through the very same thing getting our eyes checked not too long ago ... it's so nice to just be done with it! Payton will be fine..my 4 yr old doesn't like to be touched either, but she did awesome and said she LOVES going to the dentist :think2

That is awsome you found a dentist use to large families. The kids dentist is GREAT with getting them all in at the same time and will even bump someone else if I need that slot :para
He does not let the parents go back with the kids and they have always done fine. I was worried about Hanna but she does the best :yep
We started with our eye DR when he first opened his practice many moons ago and he works with us the same way :D
Good Luck!! Hope everyone gets a clean bill of dental health :thumbsup

I should clarify... I made appointments for two seperate days a week apart. I'm sure they could have seen them all in the same day, there is just no way in hell I am going to go sit all day long at the dentists office with this crew :para :snicker

Well this sucks! :kickcan The dentist office called the other morning to tell me that my insurance doesn't show that my three oldest are covered :pissed Turns out, that they are wanting us to provide to them "guardianship" papers to prove that they are my kids :roll DH is faxing that off to them this morning, but it won't matter anyway... the dentist office just called back to tell me that our insurance considers them "out of network" :aaa so instead of preventative treatment being covered, it'll cost us 20% :wall
UGH! Back to square one....

I know! No problem at all putting them on the medical insurance, but this stupid dental insurance is giving us the run around :pissed

:para Here's another update...
I called around and found another office that accepted our insurance. Coincidently enough, the had an office right down the street from my house (which is UNHEARD of.. I live in a very small town) AND they had an opening this afternoon. Soooooooooo... I at least got one kid in today! :woot
Bad news is, Dono needs to have two teeth pulled :sadcheer Poor kid!

:lmao Actually, DH and my second son get in on Tues, and the other two get in on Friday! The only glitch is that they don't see kids under 6 so I'll need to find a pediatric dentist if I want the twins to be seen :para I think I'll wait on that.
