ok, so now that DH got his new car i was thinking about these because we'll probably be buying some in the next couple months or so. I know gypsy got a good deal on ones from costco, but i looked on their website and didn't see ANY. what kind are they again? we're looking for good, but a good deal too, because i think we'll be buying four so that when DH has them he doesn't have to move carseats from my car to his.

I think this is the best value.

It’s essentially a Britax Marathon without all the bells and whistles and will easily get you to the booster seat stage.

I don't know what ones they carry at Costco.

The ones we have are from my first dd. They are Graco brand and they are kinda like this (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2437597&cp=2255983.2256187.2256196&cp=2255983.2256187&fbn=StorePrice%7C%2475.01+-+%24100.00&fbc=1&categoryId=2256196&fr=StorePrice%2FTRUS%2F00007501%2F00010000&parentPage=search). They work great and are affordable, too.

This is a good but cheap seat that will take the girls to 40 pounds. The problem is, unless they are at least 4, you’ll have to buy yet another seat before they are ready for the boosters.

I have the Britax Roundabouts. We love them. My friend wanted to save some $$ and got the costco ones. She ended up getting the Marathons a few months later. She said they just weren't comfy :shrug. Cake posted this link earlier carseat (http://www.specialtybaby.com/br20rococars7.html)
It is definitely pimp purple, but you might be able to find some cute covers for them, and you would never worry about anyone stealing them :lol

:word :roll Those are the ones I have for my boys. They are nice, just apparently made for short kids.

I have had the britax seats, My boys are 3 1/2 and are 35lbs each, they do not even sit in them anymore they are too tall, and so they sit in the butt boosters.

Isabella has the Triumph 5 Convertable carseat.

Height is a factor too. They may be too tall for the straps before they reach 40 pounds. E wasn’t even 3 when she outgrew the Roundabout and she was only 34 pounds then.

Unless you start off with a convertible that goes to 40 pounds, it’s not a wise investment at this point.

I just have car seats 20-100lbs, I started off with just infant car seats that were 5-22lbs but the babies have exceeded the weight restriction so we bought Evenflo ones at Walmart for $100 each. 5pt harness and then its used with the regular seat belt at 40-100lbs, 43-54 inches tall etc. It has cup holders too..lol.

My girls have these..

They love them and even being big babies they have tons of room on either side and above the head and below the feet. In fact, even though they will be 1 soon I won't be forward facing them just yet because their feet aren't even close to touching the seat yet. I was a little nervous about how the suede type material would clean, but it's been awesome. Don't forget since you're buying 4 seats if you go to BRU with the twins in tow you'll get a discount..only 10%, but on 4 seats that could save you a bit of money.

I need to get a new one for the baby, too, since all of mine were so old we threw them out. Thanks for this post!
