another "just wondering" moment here...

we are both just totally exhausted every day, and the girls sleep pretty well. we do both work at home with two toddlers running around all day, but i think it is more chasing them and having to watch them every single second...how about everyone else? do you feel any more rested since they are getting older?

thing is we are both home all day. you would think we would be rested compared to you who are home with them alone all day...i am curious again...

Nope, totally exhausted here. BUT, I we get up about 5 times a night. Because my girls are night trained, they get up to pee. They are too young to take themselves to the potty and then go back to bed on their own, so we need to help them. Emma often gets up during the night too, weather it is because she is cold, needs to pee, had a bad dream...whatever it is she is usually up 2-3 times a WEEK. So, between all the kids, it is about 4-5 times a night.

Well rested? :lol I think not.

wow! you make me feel like i should be doing jumping jacks or something! you must be exhausted. it is nice to know we aren't abnormal (well, not on this anyway:snicker), but i am sorry you dont' get much sleep.

i hate that we dont' have energy, but i guess you just do the best you can, right?:cheers

I am not physically exhausted anymore, but chasing them around all day sometimes leaves me mentally exhausted. It's easier on me now that I have help from DH & MIL during the day. The only time I'm alone is in the mornings. I am so very grateful.

if i didn't have to work at home i think it would help, since we could go to bed earlier. but hey, gotta pay the mortgage, right? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz................

I'm home with the twins all day while DH goes out to work. Now that it's summer, I have my 5 year old too. I put the twins in for a nap every day at 12:30, I let my older girl play computer games or X-box, and I take a 20-30 minute power nap. Otherwise I'm dead on my feet. Right now the twins have colds, so they're up and down most of the night which is tough. I had a full time job up until they were almost a year old, but I was hella-tired then too.

Maybe I'm narcoleptic.

It does get better. I rarely have a child wake up. If they do, they are trained to just crawl in bed with us.

See, I dont let mine crawl in bed with us for more then 10 minutes. They can come in, but not stay there past 10 minutes. I can NOT sleep when they are in my bed.

amanda has never really wanted to come to bed with us, and although she is a great sleeper, if she does wake up she is awake for a long time...until morning.

annie woke once a night way past a year, then has slept through well, but now is calling out early to go pee. that makes the exhaustion worse...sigh.

I am a SAHM to two 3yrs old and one 6yr old. I am exhausted!! By the time 6pm rolls around I am ready for them to be in bed and for me to relax without someone hanging on my neck or tugging on my pants. If I had to work outside the home plus come home and deal with the house and kids at the end of a long working day I think I would be beyond exhausted.

I am more exhausted now than ever! I work full time and then come home to my most important job. I find myself going overboard with the activities, fun, learning, etc. because of the guilt for not being with them all day. And then there is just the normal upkeep of daily living. I really have no help and it is mentally and physically exhausting.

wow! so i guess all of us are really wiped out. makes me feel better to know i am not alone, but not that so many of us are still going through the day on fumes. simon was talking to me yesterday and i think i dozed off...with two kids talking and him trying to tell me something. that sucks for us all!

Yeah, it's pretty much keep-on-your-toes for everyone here, eh? And no chance of resting until they're in bed, and then, when you here a peep, you're back to alert-mode!

i am allllllllllllways tired. ready to get kids off my back and in bed for some ( R&R)

Exhausted has become my middle name. I work full time 9-6 M-F. I get home and work some more. Finally get them to bed and they still wake at night to eat (and will raise holly h3ll if we don't give them a bottle) and then start all over the next day.

Weekends it's clean house time. Honestly I don't know how I make it. And now that they are running I am really tired.

Up until a week ago, I was working fulltime and exhausted beyond anything! Now that i am home and looking for a job, it's not so bad. I know that when I do go back to work, I will be sleep walking most days again. I'm in the same boat as Candy, so I think exhaustion is just part of our lives.

That's me (minus the 6 yr. old)...I am dead on my feet by the time the kids go to bed.
