Ok since their 4th birthday is tomorrow I will tell you guys about the day my twins were born.
At 32 weeks the drs decided to start giving me steroids because they were sure I was going to go early and I had drs appts 3 days a week to monitor them, at my last appt the dr told me to monitor baby A's activity for the next 24hrs and if I didnt feel him moving around alot to call in so the next day I took my daughter to preschool then headed over to babiesrus to buy more bottles and things, picked my daughter up and headed home, I washed and sterlized every bottle in the house. I was monitoring baby A's activity and told my husband that I havent felt him moving much so he told me to call the dr, I called in and she told me to come in so she can check everything out. I took my kids dropped them off at the inlaws and headed to the hospital, they hooked me up to check the babys monitors, after about an hour or so I started feeling contractions and with every one Dylans's (baby a) heartrate went down after a few hours I was about 4 cm's dialated when the dr asked told me it was my decision to have a vaginal birth or a csection, my husband and I talked about it and decided because Dylans hearrate went down with every contraction we decided to have a csection. They wheeled me in to the operating room and gave me an epidural and at 1:08 am Dylan was born, I heard him cry and wanted to make sure he was ok, then at 1:10 am Andrew was born, I heard him cry also, I remember them being wheeled away to the NICU and they stopped for just a few seconds to let me see them, they were so tiny. Dylan was 4lbs 6oz and Andrew was 4lbs 13oz. They were in the NICU for two weeks and I hated to go home without them it broke my heart but I knew it was for them to grow, It was the longest two weeks of my life but I went and seen them everyday. They finally were allowed to come home Easter Sunday. Time went so fast I cannot believe that they will be 4 already.:(
