I was admitted to hospital at 33w due to Baby "A"'s amniotic fluid being low. She was also a full pound smaller than her brother. For 3 days they monitored, I worried. I was put in a room with a teenage mom who was scared to turn out the light :lol I never got any sleep...
Here comes April 17, 2004. 9 am comes. The nurse comes with my IV and hooks me up. I get out of my jammies and into my ugly hospital frocks. The OR is like a 5 minute walk from my room.. So it felt as if I was on display walking the halls.. My mom was there, my best friend and my sister. They waited patiently outside :luv
So they take me into the OR and prep me for my spinal. The anesthestist looked me over and made me take out my tongue peircing which really ticked me off, we were off to a bad start... She froze me and tried SIX times to place the spinal. My OB told her to call her boss in. She did and he got it in right away. I was bruised VERY badly on my back. UGH.. Anyways... Once that was done Hungman joined the party. There were so many people in the room and the room was HOT. First comes baby Grace, she is tiny at 4 lbs 1oz. They whisk her to the NICU before I even get to see her. Hungman says he heard her cry, I did not. Then comes baby Morgan, he is a huge 5 lbs 1 oz. They brought him to me to see :luv Then he started to bubble and grunt to breathe.. Then they took him too :(
I got sewn up and put into recovery. I'd have to say that going through IVF was worse than a c-section :lol
I got to see Gracie before I went back to my room, Morgan was put on a vent.. They were so small :pinkheart
They were in the NICU for 16 days before we went home.. I wouldn't leave the hospital and I slept in the computer room :lol The day we went home was the absolute best for me.. They were mine... all mine :pinkheart
