I have two kids in baseball this year. My son has been playing for years and it's my daughter's first year, she plays t-ball. Next Saturday is opening day which is a big deal around here. My husband and I knew there would be times when we would have to split up and take turns at their games. Welllll, I didn't think it would happen opening day! BUT, we had already planned that I would watch Aaveri's game (it is her first one after all) and he would go to Reid's, the whole father son thing. They are at the same time at different fields at completely different schools. To make matters worse, when I picked my son up from practice tonight he was all excited that his coach pulled him aside and told him he was going to be the starting pitcher ON OPENING DAY! This is like a HUGE deal for him, but it's my daughter's first game! :tantrum I know there probably won't be much action at her game and my son was really excited to get home and "tell dad" so I don't know...we're thinking I will start out at Aaveri's game, he will start at Reid's game then we will switch. :shrug Any ideas??

I think your idea/plan is a good one. You go to your daughter's and have dh go to your son's. Good luck and congrats to your son, btw on starting as pitcher! :woot

I have a dilemna tomorrow already! A & A have little league practice at 4, Nick (oldest) has a Lacrosse game in another town (about 40 mins away) at 5!! Dh works until 10 pm. How in the hell I am supposed to pull this off??

Lu What a bummer!!! WTG Reid!

It sounds like your plan is probably the best option. Hopefully this doesn't happen a lot.

Oh man that really sux. Thank goodness my twins aren't old enough for sports yet so I'm able to make it to all of Logan's games. How far apart are the schools? if ya'll plan on switching places will you miss alot of the games?

:( That really sucks!
Our chasing games started Saturday and it is killing me alread. Thansk goodness all of ours are at the same spports complex.

I think your idea sounds like the best way to do it :yep

What I do is drop Caleb off and run the other kids to their field and then call another team parent to see who is taking the field first for Caleb's team (he isn't pitcher or catcher so field is no biggie for me to miss :para) Then I ran back and forth depending on who was batting :) Yes I will get my exercise this summer :lol

We have basically the same issue this weekend. We have our oldest son playing at 10:30 and the other 3 playing at 10:45. It's not our first game, but it's hard to decide who watches which child(ren). Good luck.

Congrats to Reid on getting the Starting Pitcher!
