First day of Third Grade :woot

First day and they didn't get homework, but I DID!!! Had to fill out ALL THAT CRAP of little cards with all the emergency phone numbers, work numbers cell numbers for both me and dh, and then TWO emergency althenates, and then all the Doctor's info, Dentist's info, Hospital info, Insurance info.....AND ALL OF THAT X 2!!!! I swear I was going insane!

Oh yeah and homework buddies, lunch account money, Dental exam forms......OMG I almost used up all the ink in my Bic!!!

But they kids got off the bus happy. They had a good day and are looking forward to tomorrow. (then they are off again until Tuesday. Makes sense? :no But who ever said the school district did things that made sense?? :shrug

Oh and Skyler has my sense of humor...:teehee She comes off the bus and says, "my teacher is really nice and really pretty" . I ask what else? What did they do? Who'd she sit by? She replies "My teacher is really nice and really pretty" :D I ask Mallory some stuff, she answers and then Skyler again! "my teacher is really nice and really pretty" We get in the house and she turns around fast and says, "OH!!!! I know!!!! Did I mention that my teacher is really nice and really pretty?????"

Awwwww, Happy first day back to school girls!! :folic Our school doesn't start until Sept 5 (and I may be counting the days :para ) I am totally with you on the paperwork though...what a pain in the ass! I guess they just want to get it out of the way, but UGH!

I am glad the girls enjoyed their first day! :yay My boys did too and were excited to go again today. I hear ya on the paperwork, my hand physically hurts today from doing all of that. I am sure we will get more today!
