So, I went for a sono two weeks ago at 16 weeks, because they could not hear both heartbeats on doppler. I was told that baby A was a boy, but baby B would not cooperate! I went back in for my 18 week sono this week and was told that both baby A and baby B were boys. I had a different sono technicians both times. Anyhow, I sent out this mass email letting everyone know that it's two boys. I received a email back from someone saying to watch out, because baby A looks more indowd than baby B, which look like baby A could be a girl. Now I'm very nervous!!! I want to know what you guys think. I attached a picture of baby A for your review which you can click on to make bigger. I really wanted one to be a girl BAD, but as long as they are healthy I am fine with that. I just don't want to go buying for 2 boys and have one end up being a girl! I know this does happen!!! Please Help :-) TX SyracuseMommy:shrug

That's what I've heard too. NOthing is 100% but usually if they think it's a boy, it is. :shrug
The person you emailed it too, isn't a sonographer, right? I wouldn't let a novice make you nuts.
I only knew baby A was a girl up until delivery. I WAS DYING to know baby B ...I was seriously going insane. :snicker So I can SOOOOOOOOOOO feel your agony in wanting to know for sure....to do the room, buy things, names, and just to mentally bond with your babies, but not knowing until delivery was only agony up until the delivery. :lol What I mean is afterward....it seriously all does work out no matter what, and you'll look back and wonder why it was soooooooo dire and important to you back then. At least that's my experience.
But it's easy for me to say that now....I would not have listened to me back then and would do my damn hardest to get another u/s to make sure. :lol

Mine were definately boys. They had legs spread and were practically pointing at it at each ultrasound.

If they say it's a boy, it's a boy. When it comes to them saying it's a girl, that's when there's a chance it could be a boy. But to me, your pic looks like a boy. It doesn't look like my girls' u/s pics.

OMG....I would have thought the same thing...Lol. So did you find out later on that she was a girl, or did you wait to find out until after you had her?

:hmm That one is tough! I had 3 boys and they were very proud...:para
They could't tell with Sammi, but that was over 14 years ago. Sarah had a "hamburger." That's what the tech called it.
When I look at your peanut...I see a hamburger...then yet I see a turtle! 16 weeks is still early. You will definitely be able to tell in a few weeks. :yep
Don't buy anything yet! LOL!

The tech. thought it was a boy but I was only 10 weeks, at 18 weeks they decided I had a girl, I was shocked!

I think it could go either way. :shrug I would ask them to check on the next scan. I am sure you will have many more u/s to come.

It looks like a boy, but my "godsister's" "BOY" turned out to be a girl.
Usually they are right, but it can be the cord in the way.
Looking at that, though, like my 3 boys, it looks like a boy. :yep

:word to that. Generally boys are easier to be sure of on u/s, and that looks like a boy to me, but who knows. Ask for another check on the next visit. And I feel ya on wanting to know - one of my boys kept hiding and we didn't know Twin A was a he until 28 weeks! We saw Twin B at 18 weeks and he was, like zak's boys, spread-eagled and practically pointing at it.
Oh yeah and I think it's harder for them to get a good look on Twin As because they're lower down in your pelvis...

Another thing to point out, if they are fraternal, they could be different, um, sizes. I know my twins aren't built the same "there" and they are fraternal.

Just from my first glance, I would say boy. But, it's so hard to say. My baby A was hard to tell. At 15 weeks, she was a boy. But, by 22 weeks, she was definitely a girl. I would definitely get a second look before buying anything.
