Do you need a passport to go from Canada to the US? I've never needed one when I visited Canada.:think
Good luck getting anyone to Canada. I can't even get them to the west coast.:shakehead

not necessarily. I live in BC but can travel anywhere in Canada...I dont recommend any of the prairie provinces or the really far east ones (like newfoundland etc)...when you go too far east ppl start talking funny.

I don't have a passport. :kickcan I've never traveled out of the Country 'cause I couldn't afford it. I'll have to work on that. I'd love to go to Canada.
Ringie, Jeff won't let me go to the West Coast alone. He's afraid I'll run off with you or one of the other girls and go to CA. :lmao

I didn't have to tell him, he knows I love you girls too much. All I do is talk about y'all. He says if we ever had a gathering with the DHs, he'd be able to tell who is who without a formal introduction. :lmao

what city are you in Blended?
You need a passport for the ferries to Canada, I hear. So driving you don't need one? I have one, but not on me - and it still says my maiden name :para I haven't left the country since I got married :sigh It expires in 09 so I have to get a new one anyway. There may be an Ireland trip in my future (Orlaith!!!!) - my grandmother is feeling her age now that her younger brother died, and has been :quote casually mentioning :quote to my mother at every opportunity that she'd like to see Ireland again before she dies. So my mom has assigned me to take my grandmother to get a passport as soon as I get home.

Hey, we could do a mini-GZ gathering for us on the West Coast possibly. Jenna is in WA. Ringy and I are near Portland and could drive up together. I could deal with driving up there.
I have a friend I would love to go see up in Vancouver, BC. I haven't seen her in years. In fact, she is who I visited when I went to Canada a few years ago.
Actually, it was really cool!! I saw a deer that had been "blown" in half by something (I am thinking an 18 wheeler). One part of it was on one side of the freeway, the other half was on the other side. Way cool, huh!!

sick :lol I have only seen a deer twice both times they were intact
I live 4hrs from Vancouver...I live in the best place in BC and everyone who doesnt live here that lives in BC aspires to live here
:rofl
but seriously...its nice in Kelowna

My passport just expired this summer. :sigh However, I plan to get a new one and I am still up for meeting Goo and Lilac in the Niagara area. It is only 4 hours for me. :woot Maybe BM, Corrupted, and Sarabela could meet Liz and I in Syracuse and we could rent a bus for the rest of the trip. :rofl

Even me?
Well, I guess I would be obvious, the quiet one in the corner twitching. You know, that would probably give me away.

Nope... You never point your weapon unless you are going to shoot. It remains holstered at all times. If you pull it out, you pull it out to defend yourself (or others) and eliminate the threat.

Dude, I was totally kidding. You forget that I've owned and used guns since I was eight years old.

Yeah, but I didn't want other people to think that that is how you hold weapons.
Sorry, I do take the weapon stuff a little seriously, probably from correcting the boys repeatedly throughout the years. I have been doing it for 11 years now.

:word I didn't think of that...we are so far from that point with them. Right now we are working on fire safety.

Langley, which is about 15 mins form the border and 45 mins from Vancouver. Kelowna is nice but I prefer greener areas like here.

I'd totally go to Canada, if I could afford it!
I looked it up:
Travel by air requires a passport. Travel by sea requires proof of citizenship and government-issue photo ID, until 2009 when a passport will be required. Travel by car requires proof of citizenship (birth certificate, naturalization papers, etc) and government-issue photo ID, OR a passport. They will accept an expired passport. No visa required for Canada. Under-16s require proof of citizenship but no photo ID.

We started weapon education when Beak was 18 mos.
like three forms of ID
Three forms of ID? How in the world are you supposed to come up with three forms of ID? I have Birth certificate and license. I could see a military ID if you have that, but most of the population doesn't.

You don't need three forms. You need proof of citizenship and a photo ID from the government, OR a passport.
