It looks really short in the 1st picture. Is it above her shoulders? If it is, I'd leave it down and curl it. Maybe pull a little up in a rhinestone clip to one side or something but overall down.

Something else my mom always did was bought spray on shimmer or glitter and misted our hair and shoulders. You can buy it at Walmart I think.
