My boys have been getting really slammed with homework.

For Nick, I expected it. I know I am repeating myself, but he is at a new, private school this year and they are "known" for homework, alot of it. He has about 2 hrs a night :para He has cross counrty practice after school everyday, till 4:30. By the time we get home and have dinner, he is doing homework until 8 pm (sometimes longer).

But A & A have been getting slammed it with as well. They are in the same school they were in, last year. In 4th grade, yet!! Monday through Thursday night, at least an hr and half to two hrs!! :faint Its so much harder when there are two of them and they both require your help, naturally, at the same dang time! And, of course they seem to get "more" homework on nights when we have soccer practice. :faint :twitch Doesn't that seem like ALOT of homework for 4th graders or am I clueless? :dramaqueen

Its like a nut house here, literally every night till about 8:30.

OMG, that does seem like a lot of homework! Does Nick at least get a study hall at school?

:yep - one study hall a day, and still this much homework. He is good with it though and can completely handle it, I am happy to say.

Its A & A whom cant and its such a battle to do homework with them and "make" them do it. It was hard enough when they were just getting a little but this year, is killing me, already. There is some drama scene every night with one, or both of them over homework. Alex is 90% of the time, the "problem".

I never got that much in homework, but then again, every year they want the kids to be smarter and smarter. That still seems like a lot for a 4th grader (or 2).

We have a similar problem. It's not really all that much homework, but my girls have been putzing around and lollygagging so much that it TAKES over 2 hours to do the stinkin' homework. They are only in 3rd grade.

Tonight's math homework (they are in the same math class) was word problems. Analytical thinking or some such nonesense. Man it was so hard that Bill quit and told me to help them!!! WTF if the parents have trouble with the homework, something is not right here. :headbang

I should post their homework and see if you guys can get these 6 problems. :teehee I think it will be my next contest. ROFL

They come home from school starving and then NOT motivated to do the homework. I get madder and madder and lose my patience. The work is only getting harder and they just don't want to concentrate. We skipped cheerleading practice because they were still working on their homework. :para
