Some of the honor societies do have scholarships, actually. I don't know about that one. I remember my BFF in high school was on the debate team and got into that.

:shrug It definitely won't hurt on her college resume. The more honor societies, the better.

A teacher has to nominate her, iirc... I know I did National Junior Honor Society, then National Honor Society, and then I was in them in college and grad school too. They sent me invitations and I think it said a teacher had nominated me for it. Generally if your grades are good enough and you were on good terms with a teacher (my French teacher was like :cheer for me in high school, she rocked). I ditched school a lot :para so my grades weren't great in every class, but I never got less than a 98 in a French class.
