is it better than recieving blankets? im thinking about trying them cuz the girls get out of the recieving blanket WAY too easy, and they squirm when you're swaddling em, so its hard to do right.

and what's better? microfleece or cotton flannel? what material are recieving blankets made of? i want material like that. and i definately don't want jersey knit or whatever because its too stretchy.

thanks!

They are really nice, I have two diff types, I have the jersey Knit, which is nice and all but its pretty easy to stretch and wiggle out of ( at least bella)

you can have that one actually, Its smaller, maybe a medium or small?
I'll mail it with the swing!

whats nice is, you can leave there upper body swaddled.. while changing diapers. that startle reflex is always there. Even Bella still does it while I change her in the middle of the night.

She has a fleece Large Swaddle me that is still big on her, It is fleece, so it does sometimes make her sweat, so I generally just put her in a onesie under that and socks.

If there is a different sorta (cotton) material get it.. the Jersy Knitt are just stretchy boogars. But still work!

I love them. she loves them too it keeps her snug as a bug!

I have never used the swaddle me because jeff was pretty good at getting them so well wrapped that even Hoodini couldn't get out. I was horrible at it. :lol

Receiving blankets are made out of flannel. Still soft, not as warm as fleece and not as stretchy as jersey.

Do you have a sewing machine? You can make your own blankets if the receiving ones are too small. Just a thought, I know a stupid one, since you probably don't even have time to shower, let alone sew. But a thought non the less. Let me look and see what I have, maybe I can help you out.

joe was good like that at first too. actually still is, but the girls wiggle too much to get it nice and tight. and they stretch their legs out so we can't get the bottom folded up good, KWIM? they're little PITA's already, hehehe. i think i'm gonna get the flannel ones b/c i don't need em as warm as the fleece, but i know they'll get out of the jersey knit.

thanks, BB, i'd love to try it out and/or have an extra one for when one of these kids poops all over herself :lol

and FB, thank you too. i def don't have time to sew, but the recieving blankets are getting too small already! that'd be great if you could see what you have...i'll pay shipping if you find something.
