My girls will be 6 months old on Monday and instead of sleeping better they are sleeping WORSE! I have tried everything! AAAHHHH! :newmom I know there is no way at this age and their weight (18 lbs) they should need to eat in the middle of the night and yet they THINK they need to eat twice! Ok I shouldn't say THEY...it's really only one of them. Any ideas on what I can do?? Last night I was up 5 times trying to soothe her back to sleep, (tried to not feed her) but she just got really pissed so I fed her and she passed out....just in time for me to have to get up with my older kids to get them off to school :doh Help me!

Um, u have way more experience than me, but I would just try a night of only giving a binky all night. Nothing else. Every cry pop it in, over and over. Eventually, she may realize she's not getting anything. Sucks for you, but hopefully it will me blissful nights of sleep ahead. I also heard that if you give them only water at night for a few nights in a row they will quit waking up for boring old water. :shrug

yeah i was gonna say in another thread someone mentioned sippy cups of water instead of feeding them. not that i would know, because mine definately still need to eat at least twice a night, but i thought it was a good idea. i'll try to find the thread so i can link ya to it!

Leslie I ended up doing CIO with Johnny at 5 1/2 months for that very reason. He was waking every 1 1/2-2 hours just fo rthe hell of it. I did still feed mine up to 10 months, even though I hated doing it, but they were never really great at their formula intake so I had to get it in them whenever I could. Good luck sweetie.

Aw, I hope they start sleeping better for you soon hon... hugs.
