I hate packing school lunches. Especially now that you cant send peanut butter...which is fine because if my child had an allergy to peanuts I sure as heck wouldnt want people to send it to school.

Still...peanut butter is so easy. :para

So yeah, I really hate packing lunches, and I am not looking foward to having to do 3 lunches next year when the twins start school.

Hot lunch? How?

Do your kids have a caf?

Nick buys. I had A & A buying too since the beginning of the school yr but this week they decide they want to bring (the "buyers" sit in one area of the lunch room and the ones whom "bring" sit together in another part - so I suspect some friend, particularly some GIRLS, bring their lunch, hence them wanting to bring now). I hated reminding myself to pack their lunch last night (way too crazy in the morning to do it) and I also hated asking them what they wanted and hearing, um no, after every suggestion. :roll

There is a program here for the families who are on welfare or need help. It is the free lunch program. You either get it reduced or for free. I think it is a federal program.

:lmao So true! :rofl

I have SIX kids in school, all requiring lunches. DH packs a lunch for the twins when he gets up in the morning (they're in school MWF) I have to buy lunch for my oldest, and my other three get a hot lunch for free! They go to a charter school that got a special grant for free breakfast and lunches for all students :woot Makes life a million times easier for us around here.

I dont like the no peanut butter rule. I honestly think if a kid has an allergy they need to beaware. IF my kids school(when they go) do that ill fight it.

in my play group there are 2 kids that have peanut allergies. and we take percation by washing hand and mouths. and keeping kids aprt while eating and its no prob

Kor...you wouldnt feel that way if it was YOUR kid who had a peanut allergy and the stopped breathing just by having it in the air.

Im sorry but you dont fight something like that. It is for a reason.

Hmmm, yea Im sorry but I want to send peanut butter to school I really dont care if your kid dies. :umno
