Well, we figured out what we are doing for high school. We are going to have Beak do American School. It is a correspondence high school. I am not totally thrilled but having an actual diploma will help him out later on in life (like with financial aid and stuff). And, he wants to try to speed through it in two years.

Actually, we are looking into financial aid and what he needs to take to get into college. We are planning on having him take a practice SAT soon to see what we need to work on. I know we are going to have holes in his education because of how we educated the guys.

Our colleges require the ACT instead of the SAT. I figure they are about the same. I can't believe you may have a child finishing high school in 2 years :thud

scary!
do you have any beginning home school books you'd like to pass on?
The ACT is quite a bit different from the SAT, actually :para I took both of them. The ACT is broader in scope - it tests on science too in the basic exam, and there are a bunch of extra subject tests you can also take too. The SAT is just verbal and math. I thought the ACT math was harder than the SAT.
Of course, I took those tests circa 1995 :para They may have changed. It wouldn't hurt your boys to do both tests though.

Well, we unschooled for years. I don't know what we have around here. We didn't use books until a few years ago. And, most of those are really eclectic.
