Emily and Audrey's NICU Story - 26 Weekers

Update from the story: They are now 16 months old. They do show signs of CP and Emily has seizures which are controlled with meds. Audrey is small for her age and will start Growth Hormone Shots soon. She is also having surgery on her eyes in 2 days. They get Physical Therapy twice a week and Speech Therapy once a week. They are not sitting yet but are closer now than ever before. They are the highlight of my life.

I second Brook's comments - I remember the first time I read your siggy on ts.com and I just think about you guys all the time-your babies really are true miracles and you are an amazingly strong woman - you go girls..

I will keep them in my prayers :) I am having my girls baptized this weekend so will put in a special prayer request...

you are incredible and so are your girlies! i know they will go far with all the love and help theya re getting now, and they are very lucky you are their mom!

oh, and as i mentioned on ts awhile back, amanda had eye muscle surgery when she was 9 months old, and she is doing great. her personality blossomed after she could see better, and she really became much happier. it was amazing! it wasn't hard on her at all, and she didn't take long to recover. it was much harder on me than it was on her :hug
