Okay, I will post my pregnancy story...
Tried hard to get pregnant for months. It seemed so many friends were getting pregnant, my SIL was too. All I did was cry about it, after smiling in their faces and being happy for them.
Sex was mechanical...we had to do it on such and such days. Is that TMI?:hehe
Finally, I was out at a Halloween party/bday party for my friend's husband. My good friends were telling me to drink, but I didn't want to, just in case.
But, I figured....like every other month, I probably wasn't pregnant so I got trashed!
Lo and Behold, Nov.2nd I took a test and ....Pregnant! BRian (husband) was shocked. He thought I was lying.
AFter the bloodwork confirmed it, the first person I told was my Tae Kwon Do teacher since we kick one another's asses everyday and I didn't want to hurt my baby.:blush
When we told everyone, they were thrilled, of course.
Fast forward to Week 12. Went for a second sono. The technican goes "Wait a minute..."
Brian looks at her and goes "Do you see what I see?"
Tech" Yes, there are two babies..."
I started to laugh and cry. Brian just kept going "No f*cking way!"
She confirmed it with my ob/gyn...then said she wanted to make sure there were no more in there...haha, there weren't!:cheer
Funny thing is, my cousin has ID boy twins that we went to visit when they were first born. We left Georgia saying how cool it would be to have twins! We asked for it! :thumbsup
I had no morning sickness the whole time, but bad swelling in my ankles. It was nasty.
I taught a snotty class that year, and would sit down a lot w/my feet up trying to get the swelling down. One day, I had a mtg. and I noticed the swelling wasn't going down. Went to the school nurse, she took my BP and it was crazy high.
Rushed to ER...things turned out fine.
Okay...then found out at another sono the boys had TTTS. Long story short there, we were referred to specialists, cried our eyes out, were told both might die etc...that sucked.:shock :shakehead
I was then told to start getting steroid shots in my butt to increase their lung capacity. First time I went to get my shots, the drs. were taking long to come back in the room.
My specialist who I hated showed up.
He said...
"You aren't leaving. You are going on Hospital bedrest. Your babies are going to die."
I am not kidding. He was a jerk. I wailed. Brian wanted to kick him!
Stayed there that night, then was transferred to another hospital w/a better NICU. I wasn't even allowed to go home, see my dog or cat or get anything.
Shoot, this is long, so let me end this...
Was on hospital bedrest w/only bathroom priviledges for 7+ weeks. It definitely made me insane, depressed etc. I had a daily sono and shower (yes, I could shower myself) that I looked forward to each day. How pathetic. :yay
One sono showed Baby B was no longer getting anything through his cord...30 weeks, 5 days I had to have an emergency C-section.
The rest will be in Birth story and NICU experiences...sorry for rambling!:woot
