Ok, I dread this every year. They change their minds, they can't decide...they want me to buy two costumes each and switch around and I refuse REFUSE to spend MEGA money on Halloween, but I'd rather spend more if I could be guarenteed no drama, whining, complaining etc while on the costume hunt.

So total after the football game we ran to a Costume outlet store (they are only open for the season) Mallory has been talking about being a genie since the summer.....but the only genie they had wasn't to her liking :roll I begged begged and slyly attempted to persuade her into being a pirate. They had the MOST adorable GIRLY pirate costumes.....and like 5 different ones too!! :para I even offered her $100 if she'd pick one :teehee -of course if she accepted I'd pillage it back off her devil) BUt she wouldn't. SKyler refused too before I could offer her any cashola. LOL

So then they finally made their final choices. Mallory is a leopard at $20 and Skyler picked this Red Vampire girls with a twist...it was sort of a devil/vampire/sorceress teen witch kind of thing. It was marked $20 too. Then we went to check sizes and Skyler said, "this one is marked size 7/8 but the one way up there is marked size 7-10? Maybe it's bigger? So I thought it was weird but she was right...so I climb up and guess what? IT's marked only $15! COOL ! I was psyched! Then we pick up some other odds and ends, 99cent vampire teeth, that white stuff to make spider webs on our bushes, etc and check out.

The girl asks for my money and then on our way out I'm looking at the receipt and I realize ......SHE ONLY CHARGED ME $4.97 FOR Skyler's cosume!!! :meme HOly heck....so I'm celebrating! No whining, the calmest Halloween drama ever and ONLY about $15 a kid INCLUDING accessories! :woohoo :bananadance2

They do use the costumes alot . They go to a Brownies Halloween dance, then the school parade, then the Brownie Troop meeting AND of course Trick or Treating. This year that is ALL ON DIFFERENT DAYS!!! :faint

Then the costumes go into the dress up box which gets used very heavily. Almost every time they have a friend over or play American Idol, the costumes come out! :teehee
