I found out Toad's at 12 weeks. He was squooshing Q and so we couldn't find out what he was. The tech said that it was highly unusual to see what sex they were at 12 weeks. Of course, Toad had his legs spread and was practically pointing at it.

I think I had found out the sex around 16 weeks for Mikey and Lynny....but not until about 20 wks for the girls....

My pregnancy was relatively easy.

I did get headaches around the middle of it, but the only thing that worked was Benadryl for them.

HI

I am 16 weeks today also. So far so good! We find out the sexes on 6/21/06.

The worst part of this so far is the nasty headaches!

If it's any consolation I don't remember getting headaches.:para I might not have. I think I had a fairly common twin pregnancy. Morning sickness until about 14 weeks. I literally felt my ribs spread for about a week around 12 weeks. I started showing around 12-13 weeks (tiny belly, but you know preggos count everything!;)) The second trimester was the best! The girls were kicking up a storm, and I felt great! Braxton Hicks contractions started at 20 weeks. I can actually remember the first night I almost went to L&D. I found out Ame's sex at 19 weeks, and Eowyn's at 20 weeks. From that point on, they flashed on a regular basis.:lol2 It was VERY obvious they were girls! When I hit the 3rd trimester is when I started getting HUGE and very uncomfortable. I still loved it though! I loved feeling the girls move, and pulling up my shirt to watch my belly move all over the place. It was the coolest thing ever! I still miss it and it's been 3 years, so enjoy it now! Ame used to get the hiccups all the time...it was so cute!:luv I was put on modified bedrest (house arrest and off my feet as much as possible) and Terbutaline (contraction medication) at 28 weeks. I had 1 OB appt and 2 NST's/biophysical profiles a week, so I got to see my girls on u/s 3 times a week! It was awesome!:thumbsup I'm going to die when I have a singleton and only see it on u/s 3-4 times.:cry At 35 weeks, I was taken of the terb, and the girls were born at 36 weeks 3 days. Neither had NICU stays, and we all went home after 4 days on Easter. I also successfully nursed them for 2 years, so it can be done!! Come visit the milk makers forum and I can help you thru any worries you might have!

Congratulations on your twins! It's so exciting! And I can't wait to find out the sexes with you! Come to Recess and post some more.:frolic

I had a c-section at 38 weeks. I think they would have stayed in there forever! I had no complications. I wasn't sick at all and I was able to work until the day before I had them. I was very lucky. :)

Congrats! It sounds like you are doing pretty good. I don't remember the headaches, but I DO remember the tireds. That lasted the first trimester, but I had tons of energy for the second tri- and then back to tired for the last.

I don't recal the discharge, but I did have some sort of freaky rash that drove me insane and nobody knew what it was until I went to a special dermatologist who said it was PPPPS or something? And had to do with pregnancy and was more common with mulitples and wouldn't go away until I delivered. It did, but that was the pits!

I also had gestational diabetes, that was stressful, but we kept it under control.

Nothing hugely eventful and I had a scheduled c-section at 38 weeks.

I remember the headaches, though I think most of 'em were more due to my then 4 year old than the pregnancy. My to scuffle all the time, too! Usually it was at night, as I was trying to sleep. Not much has changed since I had them, really. I don't remember an excessive amount of discharge, I had the opposite, everything was dry as hell which would get real uncomfortable at times. I went to my GYN a bunch of times thinking it was a UTI when it wasn't.

I had a C-section at 37 1/2 weeks because both babies were transverse. My son was breach. The doctor gave me the option of having him manually try and turn them but he couldn't guarantee it would work. I figured my first birth was vaginal, there was no way I wanted to go through labor and have someone tell me to hold off on pushing, go through all that then end up having a C-section anyway. The girl I ended up in the room next to had that with her son (singleton.) I figured my GYN was a nice guy and didn't deserve to have me beating him with a lamp screaming "What do you mean it didn't work?" like some sort of madwoman, so C-section it was.

I had discharge the whole time, but I was on a vag. suppository to help prevent contractions (TMI, WOOT!!)

Watch the headaches, they can be a sign of Pre-E

Mine were vaginal, 37 weeks, and they were 6'12" and 6'2".

I had TONS of discharge thru my entire pregnancy. In the end, some of it was not discharge in the normal sense of the word. Don't cough, sneeze, or laugh too hard.:para

My favorite part of being pregnant was feeling and watching the girls move! I can remember the exact moment I first felt the "bubbles", and the exact moment i first felt them kick from the outside (my hand was resting on my belly). From that point on it was an anything goes rough and tumble wrestling mathc in there! Just wait until they have no room to move, but they still want to move. You can actually see hands, feet, heads, butts, elbows...:lol2 I LOVED it! I would sit in my recliner (at my mom's) with my shirt up over my belly. I didn't care who was in the room. My mom had to tell me on several occasions to put my shirt down. I just wanted see my girls moving around.:luv

My girls are identical are were di/di. They had separate sacs and separate placentas. It is the least common, but safest way to carry ID twins. I think only 1/4 of all ID twins are di/di. It happens when the egg splits before implantation. I didn't even know my girls were ID until I had them tested when they were 3 months old. I was actually shocked the test came back that they are 99.996% ID.

I had my girls by c-sec at 36w3d. Baby A (Amelie) was butt breech. She was sitting on my cervix, so out my belly they came. C-sec is the most common way to have multiples, but if you can have them vaginally, I would definitely do it!

So is your OB sure your twins share a placenta and it's just not fused? I can't wait to find out the sexes!

I have had TONS of discharge, and had awful headaches the first trimester although they went away. A couple weeks ago I actually woke up in a huge puddle thinking my water broke. When I went to the hospital they told me it didn't, and later on the doctor told me it was probably discharge (I KNOW it wasn't pee, b/c it didn't smell like it and I really had to go when I got up after only going 3 hours before). Just wait till you get bigger and can't sneeze or anything...I'd stock up on pantyliners now...lol
