So this is about my singleton, I only BF the twins for a short while and then pumped for the 1st six months. But this guy, he is over 14 months old and I am still trying to wean off of BF-ing. At the moment, we have it down to only ONE session each day and that is right before he goes to sleep at night. Recently I have weaned him off of overnight feeds as he was waking at least 5-6 times each night and I am sooo overtired it is not even funny.
I'm thinking that with all the upcoming transitions (we're moving), I probably should wait to get rid of the one daily session right? Or would it be better to stop it altogether so when we do move he will never associate the new room and surroundings with BF-ing??? I am sure he pretty much does it solely for comfort (he was big into comfort nursing overnight) so I am not sure which way to go with this.

I would wait. I think he will adjust to the move better if he still have his comfort "item".

This is something that will be really just a matter of what you think would be best for your son. I think I would probably wait and drop it when you move so that it would be a part of the transition, but you may want to keep it if he's having a hard time adjusting.

i would wait to drop it. that might be a wonderful way to have him transition, and quite frankly, any time you travel or move you run into new germs. your bm can make the difference between a slight sniffle and a month of being sick. that bm is amazing stuff, and it would transition him physically. medically, and psychologically.

every single day babies get breastmilk is beneficial, and it just may make your move a lot smoother if he needs to soothe himself. when routine is broken babies sometimes have a hard time, but that one thing will not only help keep him well, but soothe him too.
