hmm..sounds to me as if you are really anxious that you won't be able to bf, won't be able to give good milk or feed your baby what it needs to thrive. i think most people don't dream quite so much about it, but more about something happening to the baby.

it seems as if you might not be as worried about carrying or delivering your bay as much as caring for it after the birth. lots of women feel that way, but yours seems to have focused on bf. i suggest since you want to bf, practicing some positive imagery to overcome your fears, and your dreams should ease some.

keep in mind that vivid, scary dreams are normal in pg, and that your fear isnt' based on your body telling you that you can't bf well, but just are a way of you trying to deal with your anxieties about it. i suggest closing your eyes as you go to sleep and feeling your little one snuggle against your bare chest, and imagine you caressing her and giving her your warmth.

when that feels comfortable imagine snuggling her to your breast and letting her root for you. when that feels okay then imagine how secure and safe she will feel when she is nusring, and how you are her loving, powerful, healthy mother who is nourishing her. keep that image in your mind as often as possible, and imagine stroking her head and back as she nurses. keep doing that until it feels right, and it should ease your anxieties somewhat. do this every night as you go off to sleep, and any time you feel anxious about it.

you will make milk for her that is totally perfect for her, because right now your body is preparing to feed her already!!! as soon as your placenta separates the hormomes will flow and you will begin the process nourishing her with magical colostrum for a few days, followed by you milk. you will have plenty of support and help if you need it (here and hopefully your hospital), so you will be able to trust your body to make the best milk your baby will ever drink.

ask every question you need to, go to kellymom.com and read if you need tips or facts, and come tell us if you have any problems or just need to vent. you CAN do this, and it is totally normal to have nightmares while pg...this has noting to do weith your ability, but jsut means you are anxious about it. please try the imagery..it really works if you keep practicing and telling yourself positive messages. we are here if you need us :hugs

this reminded me of when i was pg and on ts, and we talked about our weird dreams...lol. i remember someone dreamed about giving birth to a shark instead of a baby, and another dreamed that her baby's hand popped out of her belly button and waved at her...lol.

well, of course neither thing happened, and i promise your breasts will be fine except for some possible soreness at first. i like your dream that you gave juice....that is a good one..lol. i know they can be scary, but it is a product of being pg and the dreams are totally normal. :hugs
