me again!
my children are currently in speech class.Landon is trying to talk and will try to repeat everything you say.Leea is a differant story. She still will not say momma or daddy.Nothing at all.I think she depends on her brother to do it for her.I feel she knows how but dosn't want to.When I or teacher work with her to say something she will give you a weird smile and shake her head no.I have read that twins do talk later in life then other kids....is this true or should I be worried?:pillowfight ( this is my twins to a T )

My girls talked later than my first 2 children. In fact, I remember being worried at 20 months becase they weren't saying more than 2-5 single words. By 2 and a half though, they were talking up a storm!
It is very likely that Leea won't talk because she just doesnt' want to. :lol

Mine are the same. DS has been chatting for months and months and DD said practically nothing. We were concerned, had her hearing checked and everything. She is fine. They turned 2 last month and she is now starting to talk and try to imitate. Soon there will be no quiet. :lol2

Beak didn't really talk other than the requisite 50 words until after the twins were born and he had to start talking.
Toad had a speech delay and had 3 years of speech classes.
Q talked early and often.
We played little games in the beginning with Toad. We would make a sound (like "ah ah ah" or "oh oh oh") and he would have to repeat it. We would hold him and bounce him saying doing the sound (ah ah ah and a bounce for each sound) and then he would have to say the sound back for us to bounce him.

Why talk when her brother can do it for her? :lol She'll probably end up being your chatterbox. I wouldn't worry.

HOw many months are your twins?
Mine are 31 months and one of them has a really bad speech issue, I can hardly understand half of what she says. My other one has certain letters she has difficulty with, but I can usually make out what she is trying to say.
