Do any of you have funny NICU Stories? I have one that I will never forget. One of the not so nice nurses, had just gotten through letting me that I should not have missed a feeding(I spent 20 hours in the hospital most days). She was also not being kind about the fact that no matter how much I pumped I was not getting any milk. So she went to change dd, she took of her diaper and did not put one on right away. Dd took the opportunity to defend her mama, and projectial pooped all over the isolette. I have to say that it made me smile!:lol

my funny sorty is, Eve came home befor Penny so one of our visits we brought Eve with us, and went to pennys isolett and she was not there insted it was a huge boy baby, and I freek, they then told me she was moved she was upgraded to a bed. I freek cause I thought my baby was mising

Those are funny.
Mine is also along the lines of "pay back"
I too got stuck with a Nasty NICU Nurse, who fed Megan formula through her feeding tube instead of my EBM. She went to take Megan out of the Isolet as she's telling me that she "forgot" that I was coming in to feed her, as if I hadn't been coming in for every feeding, and Megan puked all over her!

I couldn't help myself. I roared in laughter and said, "How's that for instant Karma!"

my husband spent the majority of the time w/ Sarah in the NICU since I was released with Jess two days after having them... well he got to know all the NICU night nurses. In fact, he said they like to gossip - a lot. He would come home and say "well so and so nurse said this about the other nurse - or this parent, etc." so we started joking around calling him one of the ladies - we were joking that he was considering going into nursing so he could hang with them even after Sarah was released! He was definitely one of the girls for those eight long days when she was there - I think to him it made the time go by a little faster :)
