Well where do I begin, oh yea, Caleb and I decided to start having sex earlier then planned, with no protection. I figured if other people were lucky enough not to get pregnant I won't either. I honestly thought I'd never be able to have kids anyways with the way my luck is. So the end of March, or even April 1st must've been when I conceived. I had no clue. I went to my cousins at the end of April and go completely trashed, then that Sunday I was supposed to start, and didn't. So I waited a couple more days cause I am usually wrong when it comes to exactly. Well 5 days went by no sign of AF. Well thursday I had a complete meltdown. I just knew I was pregnant. I was so scared to tell Caleb. I cried all day and all night. When he came over (we weren't married as of yet and he still lived with his parents) that evening he asked over and over and over again what was wrong. I didn't have the heart to tell him yet. I just kept saying over and over and over. I'm sorry I ruined your life. I must've said over a million times that night as he held me. :cry He knew deep down but I think I didn't tell him really until Saturday. He didn't want to get a PT right away cause I think he was so shocked. But I think I convinced him the next day. So I peed on the first stick... I didn't think it worked but left it up anyways and waited. Then went and peed on the other stick thinking this one didn't work. Guess what they were both postive. Do you think that was a sign or what. I had THE worst morning sickness ever at 3am most days. I lost 20lbs or so before I started gaining. I think that was Gods way of helping me out a bit. I got married at the end of May. Was God awful sick on our honeymoon to OC, MD. It helped that the weather sucked so we stayed in and just listened to the waves crashing the whole time. I liked that. I realized that I had a sensitivity to processed chicken. Weird huh. Couldn't have chicken nuggets or chicken kickers!! I LOVE chicken kickers. It wasn't until August that my insurance finally went through and I found a dr. We went in for a check up, I had already been taking vitamins, I knew about that. Well he listened for a heartbeat and heard ONE strong heart beat. I always thought i would have twins because my dad was a twin, so I was kinda disappointed, but happy all at the same time. He didn't think to listen for another ;) Well we scheduled an ultrasound for Sept 13 and we went and they said there's TWO babies in there. I laughed and cried and laughed some more and kept looking at DH and then we found out one of them was a girl and the other one she had a hard time figuring it out and finally baby A uncrossed her legs to show she was a girl. I called my dad and said I am having a girl with 20 fingers and 20 toes. He got it right away and started crying, which made me cry! Then we told a few other family members.
During the first part of the pregnancy I craved salt. Slim Jims and Pickles especially. I think they knew I was pregnant they had a sale on pickles buy one jar get one free. I would go through a jar of pickles a day! NO LIE. Then the second half of my pregnancy I craved sugar. Cupcakes and dingdongs !!! I also had THE WORST heartburn I have ever felt in my life. I would also go through like a gallon of milk a day!!! I slept a LOT. We lived with the Inlaws for like 5 months. I slept the majority of the day away, but got up and showered before dh came home... haha. I couldn't sleep at night but could during the day!!
The girls didn't start getting really active til later. It was the most awesome feeling ever. Then I would get this like tick in my right side that i would have to get up and walk it out, found out it was hiccups!! She had hiccups a lot!! I also got the bebe sounds and never heard much with it. I would always get paranoid cause I could rarely find the heart beats lol. I also didn't start really showing til my 7 or 8th month and then I was HUGE, I mean HUGE. Caleb said he could see my stomach from around the corner!! :lol
In Nov. we moved into our new apt (like 3-4 houses down from the inlaws :para) it was pretty uneventful last two months. Except I made dh take me to EatnPark a lot. One night it was really slippery and as we're walking to the car, I thought I would be smart (I was in flipflops never smart) and walk on the driveway instead of the grass to the car. SLIPPED AND FELL!!! Luckily I managed to fall on my side instead of on my belly. I was so SHOCKED and scared. I was so huge I had to hobble my way back to the house to check myself and change my darn shoes, to something more sensible. Did I mention that Caleb lost his key in the snow at this point!!! Grrr So I checked myself, I seemed ok, I scraped my knee and to this day I still have problems with the way I fell on it! I check for bleeding just in case.. NONE! Then I put real shoes on and we went back out so we could go to eatnpark and we met his folks there like a half an hour late!
The only bad comment I ever got was walking on the RIGHT SIDE of the road to my car and this lady in a huge truck pulls around me while I am waddling to the car and says "get your fat ass outta the road" I was kinda offended and then I flicked her off.. BIOTCH I am pregnant and HUGE get over it!! :lol
I went into the hospital at 37 weeks w/ false labor and was sent home the next morning. Then I went in the following week at exactly 38 weeks for an ultrasound and baby A's fluid was getting low so they said we're gonna induce ya. So I thought here we go again, I'll never dialate and be sent home! I had some great drugs at the beginning let me tell you I was feeling great, til I asked for a second round bc of pain and it didn't work then finally I said epidural which I CRIED like crazy because I hate needles and that thing was HUGH!! Well 24 + hours later of labor and pushing for 2 hours. I told them NO MORE pushing she's not coming that way! They finally listened to me and prepped me for the OR. They first tried the vaccuum and then I heard 'POP'! I guess it didn't work. I was pretty out of it at that point, I thought I was gonna die.. :lol Then they finally did the c-section and I had my big beautiful girls. Alexandra Lucy was 6lbs 4oz and Isabella Jane was 7lbs 12 oz!! I had exactly 14 lbs in my belly!! Whooo!!
Thanks for letting me share.. its pretty long-winded! :snicker
