Here is a list of foods I can't eat while nursing:
eggplant
green lentils
avocado
large quantities of garlic (like whole roasted cloves :para)
popcorn (I do occasionally anyway as it's one of my favorite snacks)
What do you have to abstain from?

well, mainly the girls can't tolerate dairy, so i can't have any dairy at all in anything.
other than that for a long time i couldn't eat broccoli, raw onions, or cabbage or they got painful horrible gas, tomato sauce or their butts would be super irritated, bananas (i am allergic, but amanda is too so it is for her too), and any more than small amounts of garlic or onions.
now they eat tomato sauce and some garlic, cooked onions, and i guess the cabbage or broccoli if they wanted, but still i eat no dairy or bananas.
this is interesting to find out what everyone can't eat...good thread:)

It sucks sooooooooooo bad. They used to react to them really badly, but the other day I had a tiny bit and they were okay. :shrug Their dad is allergic and before I knew that I made a huge batch of guacamole and he ate a ton of it and got really bad hives. I felt terrible, but he did know he was allergic and didn't tell me.

when I pumped I ate what ever I wanted I was told I could eat what ever I wanted. nothing bothered the girls, but when I gave up and went to formula then we had problems, it took 3 different kinds to find the right one.
