on a "field trip" tomorrow! :lol He is very close to all 3 of my boys and loves to do things with them. I think its because they look up to him and also because he only has one child, a daughter, whom is in 10th grade now and past this stuff.
Read the email he sent them, its so cute and funny! He is a great guy! :pinkheart
........
Good evening boys:
I wouldlike to remind you about our field trip. It will be mostly outside and in the mountains, so we will have to dress warm.
I have listed below our agenda for the day:
A. 8:30 AM Piick up twins
B. 09:00 AM Arrive at Bear Creek wind mills
www.pawindenergynow.org/pa/farms.html
C. 10:00 AM Arrive at Bear Creek Cafe for breakfast. We will look at the small Bear Creek Dam while waiting for our meal.
D. 11:30 AM Arrive at Francis Walter Dam - This huge dam provides water for Philadelphia. So rain and snow in our back yard becomes the drinking water for the residents of Philadelphia. I sent you this web page before.
E. 1:00 PM Arrive at Hickory Run State Park - we will tour only Boulder Field. This is a huge rock formation left from the glaciers that killed all the diansors.

F. 2:00 PM Arrive at Eckley Miners Village - a town that looks like it did 1oo years ago when they were mining coal. Here you will see how these miners lived 100 years ago. It was hard work and living conditions were bad. Coal is now used not only for heat but to make electricity also.

G. 4:00 PM Drive past the Susquehanna SteaM Electric Station. This is a nuclear power plant.
www.answers.com/topic/susquehanna-steam-electric-station.
During the day we will see all sources of power right in our backyard. Wind, water, coal, and nuclear.
Dress warm and get lots of rest Friday night.
Uncle TOM
Isnt that the sweetest? A & A are so excited and already trying to go to sleep! :lol I am going to print out his email and have each one of them write a short essay on their Saturday field trip to take into school for some extra credit. What do you think? They are struggling with social studies and science and this field trip would qualify for both.
