Infection in my body

Specifically my toe.. Which I'm having surgery on Tues. Can it cause any problems Nursing??

I hope you get some answers from these links. Everything I have ever read says that you can breastfeed when you have a minor infection. HTH Sorry I don't have more for you! Good luck in your surgery.:hug

just let the doctors know you are bf, and make sure that what they give you for pain/infection is okay for it. you shouldn't have any problems with it, and if you are concerned about the meds you can pump a time or two the day before and have a bottle or two for her. you can just pump and dump if you are really concerned, but jsut ask for bf-friendly meds, of which several are available, and there should be no need.

it's minor surgery, they are ripping off my toenail.

Ugh! But its really infected, Most recently waking up in one of my 3am bf escapades I ramed it into the automan, and that really made me feel pain and even a heart beat in the whole intense moment of pain. I've had problems with this toe before. Im a lil scared to have them kill the nail cutical in that area, so it wont happen again, I dun want fd' up toenail for life.

Anyway it was concerning to me that the infection I do have, has been for months in my toe.. and didn't know it affected anything else and nursing.. kwim passing it to bell?
