that's the first time i've ever pumped that successfully. does it make a difference when you do both boobs at once instead of one at a time? i've noticed in the past that when i do one at a time (which is what i usually do), that the first boob will give a lot of milk, but the second one almost none. and it doesn't matter which side i start on. it happens with both sides. this time i got almost the same amount from both. it was the first time i did them both together.

yes, nursing two babies at once brings down more milk, and pumping tells your body you need milk for two babies at once too. cool the way our bodies work, isn't it? :clap

woah. maybe i should tandem nurse them more often then. maybe they'll get more and they'll sleep longer? :shrug

well, if you like to tandem and they like it that will work fine, but i wouldn't do it jsut to get them to sleep longer. if you can pump 12 ounces you are making plenty of milk to let them sleep awhile. :wink but it is a great idea. they will start sleeping longer...really! this won't last forever with all the waking up so often :hugs

That's awesome. Could you send some to me so I can go out this weekend and not have to pump? :para

I donated 5 gallon size freezer bags full of the little gerber storage bags to a milk bank when I moved from Portland. :para God, I wish I could have kept that milk.

i bet. i couldn't even imagine having that much. this is probably the most ive ever had at once (there was another 9 or so ounces in the freezer). i really should pump more, but i HATE it! i'm so bad about it!

nope...i made all their baby food with it, added it to cereal, and simon gave them one bottle a morning so i could nap a little while. i wanted to donate, but it didn't work out where we happened to be at the time. i had a freezer stash for a long time, but didnt' really need it, so it ended up getting tossed out when it expired. i only pumped two or three times a day for that much. these girls should weigh 100 pounds after all the bm they have drunk over the years:cowdance :cowdance :cowdance
