i don't blame ya...sometimes i wish i didn't, sometimes i seriously consider formula on a permanent basis, and then there are the times where they look up at me and give me big milky grins and dribble milk everywhere. then i remember why i'm doing it.

The laziness factor comes in after 3 months. Having bottle fed one and breast fed two, there’s no comparison to how much easier it is later on. That’s why I’m still doing it at 20 months. :)

Most of the pictures I have are taken from my husband when he’s trying to be an ass but I’ll see what I have that suitable for public viewing.

it truly does get much easier, and you will really see an ease slip in gradually that bottles wouldnt give you. you don't have to wash all the bottles, make up formula, and pay for it..and then have possible times up with sicker babies. hang in, smidge! oh, and you will sleep eventually...really!:hugs

Because I’m on a roll, here is another day where she decided to feed all the toys. Some got a bottle, some got a sippy and some were nursed but every single one of those babies got fed, rocked and lovingly put down for a nap on the end table.

Aww these are great!!! :pinkheart I found a pic the other day from the NICU when I'm holding both of them and in the top of the pic, there's my boob stuck in the pump! I thanked Dh for making sure he included that! :roll

My two never would latch on and nurse and pumping is NOT the most natural looking thing a mother can do, so I didn't allow pics of me pumping. These are pictures I know you all will cherish forever!!

Yes I am still nursing and you know what? I remember being so annoyed some days when I had to set up DD’s doll nursing station in addition to my own but now that I look at the pictures, I realize what a sweetheart she was being. :cry

A lot of my bf'ing pics are actual pictures because we didn't have a digital camera yet. Here are 2 of Eowyn. She was almost 2 years in these pics. I know I have a few more of the 2 of them, but it's 2am, so I will have to search for them and post them tomorrow.:)

ETA: I found one more. I think I'm bf'ing Eowyn again. They were about a week old. I think it was my first Mother's day.

These are from the early days (the first couple weeks) when my boys were little scrawny things just learning to breastfeed. In the b&w one, if you look closely you can see the silicon nipple shields that, for us, where the thing that allowed them to finally latch on and nurse.

I only tried to nurse mine in the NICU and decided to just pump because I was intending to go back to work. I tried to nurse while working with my older 2 and it was just too hard for me. So I decided to pump for them rather than get them used to nursing and then have to wien them when I went back to work. But the pump and I did not get along very well so I only did that for a month. So here is a picture of me trying to nurse Phoebe. I have a couple nursing Daphne too but they were on a regular camera and I don't have them on my computer.

Smidge, yes I am nusring. I did both formula and BF because I had a rough delivery. I was induced for pre-eclampsia and I was told the medicine they were giving me for pre-e can make your milk come in slow. I also hemorrhaged after delivery so much so that I would pass out whenever I sat up. I ended up having a blood transfusion a couple days after delivery. They told me the blood loss would also make my milk come in slow. The boys were 6lbs and 6lbs 11oz at birth and on day 3 they were 5lbs 3oz and 5lbs 12oz soat that point I said I wanted to supplement. We were on as much as 1/2 and 1/2 a few times during growth spurts but they are almost off formula completely now that they are eating solids. I think I only made 4 bottles of formula last week.

That is great you are feeling better and that you are able to nurse them so well now. You are a a testament to perseverance for getting them to nurse well and not use much formula! Yay for mommy milk, and :clap :clap :clap :clap to you!:D

Thank you so much for the compliments. It makes me feel good. Believe me I was tempted to quit nursing them many times but I am so glad I stuck with it. I BF my other children, one of them to 13 months and she never had a bottle but I had a much harder time with the twins. I dont think necessarily because there were 2 of them but because of the problems I had initially. I really enjoy it though and I know I would have regretted it if I had stopped. :friends2

I love Breastfeeding my daughter. My twin boys (born 9 weeks early) were unable to latch on, so I am REALLY enjoying it this time.
