My husband and had been dating almost a year when he surprised me with a trip to the Grand Canyon. While we were there, at sunset, standing on the edge of the Canyon, he proposed to me. I was thrilled! I had been waiting for that day for a while! That whole trip, though, I just wasn't feeling right. I'm a soda drinker, but nothing tasted good. We always ate junk food on road trips, so I thought it was because of the combination of beef jerky and jelly beans we had been munching on LOL. When we got back, though, I realized I was late and took not one, not two, but three tests. Yep, all positive! Now how to break it to my husband. I was so afraid he wouldn't react well-we weren't ready to have a baby. I was crying as I told him but he told me he was happy and was so supportive. I still wasn't 100% convinced so I scheduled an appt later that week at Planned Parenthood and had another official test done. They did an ultrasound and yep, there was a little jelly bean on that ultrasound! We decided on names- Katie Lynn for a girl, Dylan William for a boy.

The weeks went by and I was really sick. I lost 16 lbs in my first few months of pregnancy. I went to my first few prenatal appts and they always kept asking if I had a history of twins in my family but didn't really say anything else. They figured I either had my dates wrong (I knew *for sure* when we conceived) or I was just measuring big because it was a big baby- my hubby was almost 10lbs and is 6'7". So at 19 weeks we went in for an ultrasound.

My mom went with me because my husband was working. As I layed down on the table, I told the tech "I told the baby to cooperate so we can find out the sex." and she immediately replies "Well, *they* are cooperating!" I turn my head to the screen and immediately see two heads! TWINS! I was shocked, but I think somehow in the back of my head, I wasn't. Then we found out the sex- two boys! Guess we have to start over on the names! My mom kept egging the tech on, telling her to look for a Baby C!

So we leave the appt and I was trying to think of some neat way to tell my hubby that night after work, but I couldn't wait. I called him and told him "well, the doctor says the babies look great". Bad reception, he couldn't hear me. I had to tell him like 3 times! LOL I think he was in shock. I called my dad to tell him and he didn't believe me "You're shitting me!" he said. He thought I was playing a joke on him and i had to convince him I wasn't!

My pregnancy was pretty uncomplicated until the end but I'll save that for my birth story. Tyler and Tristan made their way into this world at 36 weeks and 4 days- the best things that ever happened to us :)

Oh! I forgot to add that the little 2 year old I was nannying for predicted twins! LOL I would always ask him "Xander, is Jen gonna have a girl baby or boy baby?" and he would pick one. Well the day before the ultrasound he told me "girl baby and good boy" and I said "one baby or two babies?" and he said "two babies!" LOL Throught the pregnancy he would point at my belly and say "two babies boys" :) :heart
