that does not sound like fun! i have no ideas or advice for you, but i hope it goes away for you soon!
My boys are suddenly both afraid of their own shadows. This is driving me nuts! I know it is a phase but it seems a little extreme. The other day Drew forgot to bring a poster board to school he needed so we left to bring it to him and as I pulled out of our neighborhood Ian started screaming bloody murder. There were 2 pine needles stuck to the window next to him and you would think the pine needles were about to murder him. I put the window down and then up and they came back up so I had to leave the window down in the rain until I got where we were going. He woke up an hour earlier than usual this morning saying he was scared of the heater. Yesterday Neil was being murdered by a miniscule black spec in the bathtub. The other day he was crying and yelling "no, car is gonna hit us!" at every car driving towards us in the opposite lane.
Oh and yes, they are really afraid of shadows. Ian was screaming the other day when we were outside and he noticed the shadows on the ground from the trees. Help! There is no single incident or change in our lives or anything at all that I can think of to trigger this. I do know it is a normal childhood phase to be afraid of things but it was never this bad with Drew or Elyse.

My kids were never that extreme but Camryn is still afraid of alot of things. Caden doesn't seem to be bothered by anything. I'm sorry I have no advice just![]()

Brandon is like that. He is always saying everything RED is FIRE. He is always telling me to be careful, etc. The other day my aunt was at my moms house (last time she was pretending to be a monster... and he was ok with it that day) and as soon as he saw her he ran in the bedroom and hid under the covers. He was SERIOUSLY terrified of her. I hope it's just a phase. I keep telling him that I would never let anything bad or hurtful happen when I'm around so don't worry so much... I hope it starts working.

Wow...that sounds really tough to deal with.![]()
E is afraid of the dark, like seriously terrified but she's not afraid of much else. And R is not afraid of anything much, well I think she just recently developed a fear of thunder thanks to a particularly loud clap of it that even caused me to jump and squeak a bit. I might discuss it with your pedi just to see if they have any problem solving strategies for that kind of a situation.![]()
